Abstract
790,331. Cut-outs. CONTACTUM, Ltd. Aug. 8, 1956 [Sept. 30, 1955], No. 27876/55. Class 38 (1). [Also in Group XXXVII] A fuse, as shown incorporated with a switch, comprises a carrier 6 having an aperture 18 for the fuse element which is slidable in a recess 14 in a part 7 on a front plate 1, lugs 16 on the carrier sliding in guides 15, so that when a member 20 on the carrier abuts a stop 21 the fuse end caps are engaged in contacts 11, 13, and when lugs 16 engage recesses 22 in the back of plate 1 the aperture 18 is outside recess 14 so that the fuse element may be replaced. In an alternative embodiment, the carrier is pivoted and is shaped as a quarter cylinder with a slot in its curved surface for the element, the ends of which project slightly from the ends of the slot.
