Abstract
789,320. Resilient upholstery. PIRELLI, Ltd., and VARKALA, P. B. Dec. 20, 1955 [Dec. 20, 1954], No. 36821/54. Class 52(4) In a resilient upholstery foundation unit made up of lengths of resilient material such as webbing and having members at the corners for attaching it to the furniture frame, one length extends between two attachment members and a second length extends between a third attachment member and a point on the first length between one end and the mid-point thereof. As shown in an assembly for a seat, a length 5 extends between attachment members 1, 2 and lengths 6, 7 extend between members 4, 3 and points near the ends of lengths 5 where they are rivetted. The assembly is completed by front length 8, diagonal lengths 20, 21 and a front-to-back length 22. When used for a settee, lengths 5, 8 are extended and more than one front-toback length are provided. Specifications 661,487 [Group VIII] and 707,433 are referred to.
