787,691. Measuring instruments. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Aug. 19, 1955 [Aug. 24, 1954], No. 23974/55. Class 37. In a circuit for producing a D.C. voltage varying linearly with an applied A.C. the input is applied to a transistor amplifier 2, 3, the output of which is applied to a rectifier 5 and an impedance 7 in the input circuit of the amplifier to produce current feedback. The D.C. operates a meter 6 and the feedback increases the input impedance. The resistor 4 and capacitor 8 may be replaced by a transformer and the bridge 5 replaced by a simple two-rectifier arrangement.
