Class 20(3) A weathershield for attachment, e.g. to the driver's window of a saloon, or sedan, car, comprises a sheet metal roof portion 1 having skirt portions 4, 5 and a common flange 6, 7, 9 to fit closely, when secured by a cilp 11, around the top portion of the window opening, a triangular shaped base _portion 21 having lugs 23, 24 to fit into the gap between the bottom of the window frame and the window pane slidable in it, and a transparent front wall 18 having outwardly turned lugs 28, 29 for pivotal mounting by pins 26, 27 between a forwardly projecting flange 17 on the skirt 4 and an extension 25 of the plate 21. The skirt 5 has an outwardly projecting flange 13 and an additional transparent screen 16 attached to its inside face by screws 14 an wing nuts, not shown. When in the closed position the inner edge 19 of the front wall 18 overlies the front stile 20 of the window frame, and a lip 30 on its lower outer edge undergrips the forward edge 31 of the plate 21. In the position shown in dotted lines, Fig. 4, as well as in any similar position, the front wall acts as an air deflector to scoop air into the vehicle, the wall being lockable in any selected angular position by means of tightening the cap nuts on the pivots 26, 27. In a modification the roof portion, made of transparent plastic has an integral shield portion. In a further modification, Fig. 7, the roof portion 1B consists of transparent plastic material which can be bent to the required shape and is provided with metal clamps 35 for fixing to a window frame, a shield 16B being attached to its underside by hooks 39 and loops 40 secured e.g. by rivets. Lugs 23B, 24B, for positioning the base 21 each constitute a metal strip passed through a slot 41 in the plate 21.
