786,752. Bed-settees. NEWTH & SONS, Ltd., C. Jan. 19, 1956 [Feb. 3, 1955], No. 3267/55. Class 52(2) In a bed-settee with a main frame 1 having pivotally attached thereto a folding bed frame 2 consisting of sections 4...7 hinged together end to end by pivot pins 8, 9, 10 and which are in longitudinal alignment when extended, sections 4 and 5 are provided with means for locking the joint formed by pin 8 comprising a bolt 19 longitudinally slidably mounted on the underside of each of frame section 5 and a corresponding socket 20 rigidly secured on the underside of each of the sides of section 4, the pivot pin 11 connecting section 4 to frame 1 being mounted in a slot 21 and the bolt 19 being connected to the same bracket 22 by a link 25 pivotally connected by a pin 27 to the bracket and by a pin 26 to a slotted flange 23 on bolt 19 so that movement of the frame 2 in the direction of alignment of the sections will cause bolt 19 to slide relatively to section 5 and engage or disengage from socket 20.
