Abstract
784,675. Boots &c. SCHOLL MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd. March 27, 1956 [March 31, 1955]; No. 9596/56. Class 17(2) A slipper type foot protector, which may be worn inside another shoe or separately, comprises a soft knitted fabric upper 3 preferably of twisted stretchable yarn and a soft resilient cushioning sole 1 preferably of foam latex stitched at 4 thereto. The sole may be covered on either or both sides with thin smooth material such as silky finished fabric 2. The foot opening may have a simple folded margin 8 enclosing an elastic strip 9 and at the heel end a heel guard or counter stiffener 10 of thicker and stiffer material such as felt or foam rubber. The guard 10 shaped as shown in Fig. 3 is unattached at its lower edge and is provided with ventilating perforations 11.
