Abstract

Alloys having good strength and resistance to scaling at high temperatures have compositions within the following range in per cent by weight: C 0.001-0.15, Mn 0.1-1.0, Si 0.1-1.0, Co 10.0-25.0, Cr 15.0-25.0, W either 0 or 8.0-15.0, B 0.001-0.05, Mo 0-10, Ti 1.6-2.75, Al 0.2-2.0, Fe 0-5.0, Ni, at least 40.0, the balance. The alloys may contain one or more of Nb, Ta and V in an amount up to 3.0 and one or more of Si, Mg, Ca, Ce and Zr in an amount up to 3.0. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 607,616.
