Abstract

783,299. Agricultural implements. ROTARY HOES, Ltd. Feb. 16, 1956 [Feb. 19, 1955], No. 5033/55. Class 6(1). A rotary cultivator comprises a wheeled carriage 10 provided with a universal connection 14 for attachment to a tractor and pivotally supporting a rotary cultivating implement 18, a telescopic screw device 36 being provided to orientate the implement about the pivotal support to adjust the depth of working. As shown the implement is raised or lowered by means of a hydraulic cylinder 39. The implement 18 is driven from the tractor power shaft through a telescopic transmission shaft 45 the front of which is supported in a bearing pivotally mounted in a stanchion 53. A shield 20 is provided and is formed with an adjustable depth controlling tail-board 25. This feature is the subject of Specification 781,645. The tailboard may be replaced by an adjustable skid.
