Abstract

780,379. Bottle, &c. capsules. MARTIN, C. M. Nov. 14, 1955 [Nov. 13, 1954], No. 32467/55. Class 125(3). A capsule 1, for a container, moulded in plastic has internally discontinuous retaining projections 2 which engage beneath an external shoulder on the container neck. Longitudinal ribs 3 are provided externally opposite projections 2 and the crown 8 may have an internal sealing rib 10. A tearing tongue 11 is defined by grooves terminating at a horizontal circular groove or head 13. In a modification, Fig. 4, the capsule has an internal or external rib 7. In other modifications the projections 2 have the form of spikes or partial screw threads.
