Abstract

779,568. Hopper discharge. FOSTER WHEELER, Ltd. Aug. 3, 1955 [Aug. 3, 1954], No. 22307/55. Classes 78 (1) and 78 (4). Material from hopper 10 is discharged through outlet 24<SP>1</SP> by endless chain conveyer 47 carried by frame 67 pivoted to beam 34, the conveyer being adjusted in inclination relative to fixed floor 15 by hydraulic piston 78 to vary the rate of feed. As shown, shorter endless chain conveyer 48 is provided at the discharge end to assist the discharge and is adjustable by piston 78, being mounted at 65 to frame 67. Vertical chains 72 act as stirrer. The pivoted gates 24, 86 are adjustable by screw jacks 87,88.
