Abstract

Ice-colours in textile printing are prepared by applying a paste containing a coupling component, a caustic alkali and a water-soluble diazoamin compound obtaind from a diazotized halogen-substituted aniline or a diazotized halogen-substituted alkyl- or alkoxy-aniline and 2 - alkylamino-5 (or 4) - sulpho - benzoic acid, and then developing the print in neutral steam in the absence of a volatile organic base.
