Abstract
776,515. Ion-trapping in cathode ray tubes. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. Sept. 30, 1955 [Oct. 1, 1954], No. 27899/55. Class 39(1). An ion trap arrangement comprises a rotatable permanent magnet 1, two magnetic conductors 2 connected to pole shoes 3 at the ends remote from the permanent magnet, the conductors being joined by a screw 5 of non-magnetic material for spacing adjustment round the neck 4 of the C.R.T. Soft material 6 is disposed between the tube 4 and the screw 5.
