775,491. Electromagnets. ELEKTRO MECHANIK GES. July 1, 1954 [July 13, 1953], No. 19311/54. Class 35. [Also in Group XXIX] An electro - hydraulic control device comprises an hydraulically - actuated piston 16 movable in a cylinder 17 under the control of a piston valve 15 operated by opposed electromagnets 10, 11 energized by alternating current. The magnets 10, 11, their common armature 12, and a centralizing spring 14 are housed in a casing 37 wholly or partly filled with oil from the hydraulic system. The armature 12 may be adjustable on the valve rod 13 and the distance between the magnets may be adjusted. In a modification, the piston 16 itself is formed as a valve.
