Abstract

1401963 Fluid-pressure actuators TOURDELOS Ltd 5 July 1972 [5 July 1971] 31441/71 Heading F1D In a fluid-pressure actuator, Fig. 1A, a piston I is connected to a piston-rod 7 by a force-increasing toggle-linkage 16, 17, 18. The member 17 is pivoted to the rod 7 and to links 16, 18. The latter are also pivoted to the cylinder. Fig. 2A shows an arrangement in which the member 17 has a recess 24 which engages the upper pivot of the links 18 as the piston descends. In Fig. 3 a bearing 25 in the rod 7 carries an eccentric pin 26 and is fast with arms 17. Links 18 are pivoted to the pin 26 and the cylinder.
