Abstract

773,970. Rectifying. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Aug. 16, 1955 [Aug. 16, 1954], No. 23599/55. Class 38 (2). A circuit arrangement comprising a transistor oscillator, the output pulses of which are rectified is characterized in that one terminal of the low voltage supply 7 is connected to the collector c of the transistor 1 whilst the other terminal of the supply 7 is connected via the primary winding 8 of a transformer 2 to the emitter e of the transistor 1, the pulsatory voltage which appears across the primary winding 8 being applied to a rectifier 4. If desired a voltage in addition to the pulsatory voltage across the winding 8 may be applied to the rectifier 4, such voltage being provided by a further winding 9 on the transformer 2. With the arrangement of the invention the voltage across the winding 8 is a positive pulsatory voltage. A secondary winding 11 is connected between the emitter e and the base b of the transistor 1 or the base b may be connected to a tapping on the winding 9. In another embodiment a resistor is connected in series with the primary winding 8 between the source and the emitter e, this resistor being used to develop the grid bias for the valves supplied by the rectified voltage from the rectifier 4. Specification 769,445 is referred to.
