Abstract

773,738. Gas filters. FISCHER, G. July 13, 1955 [July 14, 1954], No. 20314/55. Addition to 752,693. Class 8(2) In a gas filter installation as claimed in the parent Specification and comprising a chamber 1 subdivided by a stationary plate 2 having sockets 3 to which the lower open ends of filter hoses 4 are attached, a frame 5 within said chamber 1 through which the hoses pass and which is capable of gyrating in a phase normal to the hose axes and an upper frame 7 to which the closed ends of the hoses are attached and which is also capable of such gyrations, the two frames 5, 7 being connected together by rods 10. each of which is universally jointed intermediate its ends to a fixed point, each said universal joint comprises pretensioned springs 16, 17 supported by an abutment 18 secured to the chamber wall and by abutments 20, 21 on opposite sides carried by the rod 10. The fixed abutment 18 is vertically adjustable as are abutments 20, 21. The lower end of each rod 10 is connected to the frame 5 by springs 36, 37 engaging said frame 5 and abutments 38, 39 carried by the rod 10. The upper end of each rod 10 is similarly connected to the frame 7.
