Abstract
773,685. Reaping machines. JACKSON, H. C. J. April 20, 1955, [Feb. 5th 1954] No. 3512/54. Class 6(3). The supporting table 1 for the cutters 5 of a combine harvester is mounted on skids 12 which are adjustable relatively to the table so that the cutting height may be varied, each skid comprising a member 13 bolted to the cuttersupporting rail 4 and having attached thereto a ground engaging strip 15 which has an upwardly-bent rear portion 16 bolted to a bracket 17 on the table 1, the connection including a bolt 20 and slot 19 to permit the cutting to be varied. The strip 15 includes a rear shoe 21 and rests against a hollow member 22 welded below the table.
