Abstract
773,057. Hydraulic lifting jacks. JOHANSSON, E. A. I., and JOHANSSON, S. A. M., [trading as ORIGOVERKEN BRODERNA JOHANSSON]. Oct. 26, 1955 [Nov. 3, 1954], No. 30613/55. Class 78 (3). An hydraulic jack, Fig. 3, comprises a piston 5 raised in a cylinder 3 by fluid drawn from a reservoir 11 through a channel 30 and past a ball valve 33 into a cylinder 18 of a manuallyoperated pump and thence through a channel 34, past a ball valve 40 and through channels 43, 44 into the cylinder 3. A release valve 41, Fig. 1, is held normally closed by a screw 42 in a channel 35, in an extension 37 of which is mounted the valve 40. On releasing valve 41, fluid passes from the cylinder 3 through channels 44, 45 to the reservoir 11.
