Abstract

772,914. Container closures. FRENCH CO., R. T. July 26, 1955 [Dec. 22, 1954], No. 21584/55. Class 125(3). A closure and dispensing device 20 for controlling the flow of liquid from containers for Worcester sauce, salad oil, syrups and the like is mounted on the container neck and has a. slot 28 and a sharp overhanging lip 27 the container being tilted to the horizontal and rotated on its longitudinal axis to control the rate of flow of contents through the slot 28. A screwthreaded closure cap 45 has a concave upper surface to seal on the dispensing insert. A modified cap has a dome shaped sealing protruberance.
