A detachable roof 9 is pro vided with a flange 8, preferably out-turned, and is secured ir position in a channel member 3 forming the upper edge of the body side 1 by means of a de formable rubber element 10 The outer flange 5 of the channel section may be cut away at a convenient positior to facilitate removal of the element 10.
