Abstract
771,091. Kinematograph projectors. STEATIT-MAGNESIA AKT.-GES. July 6, 1955 [July 7, 1954], No. 19561/55. Class 97(1) A projector in which the film is pulled from the feed spool by the tension produced by the intermittent feed at the gate has damping means for evening out the rate of unwinding from the spool and additional film feeding means which are brought into operation automatically when the irrgularities in the rate of unwinding are greater than can be evened out by the damping means. In the form shown the film 1 is fed from the spool 2 over rollers 4 and 5 to the-gate where it is fed by a claw 9. The spindle 10 of the roller 4 is carried on an arm 12 pivoted at 13 and normally held vertical by gravity or a ,spring. If the arm is substantially deflected a friction wheel 11 on the spindle is drawn into driving engagement with a pulley 14 or a belt 14 driven by the claw driving motor.
