Abstract
769,654. Air-heating stoves. NATHAN, A. L. May 21, 1955, No. 14701/55. Class 64(1) In an air heater a,firebox 38, located between two opposite openings 24, 26 in the side walls of a casing 2, receives hot gases from a burner 32 discharging through one of these openings, and delivers them to tubes 44 to heat air passed through the casing by a fan 16. Rods 66 extend through the other openings and hold a target 54 against radial lugs at one end of the firebox. The tubes 44'connect two headers 42, 46, one of which contains the firebox and the other of which lies' between and is connected to a second pair of openings 28, 30 in the side walls of the casing. One of these openings is provided with a spoildraught damper 36 and the other is connected to a flue pipe 34. The firebox, which rests on brackets 48, is cylindrical and has a lateral outlet 40 and end outlets between the radial and longitudinal lugs' which space the firebox from an adjacent wall of the header 42. An outlet for the 'heated air is provided in the wall opposite the fan. The burner and other parts associated with the pairs of openings in the side walls can be interchangeably assembled.
