Abstract

Class 99(1) Also in Group XXXVI] An electrical junctior box 1 is provided with a frusto-conical connecting socket 2 which is cut away on one side to expose a portion of the end of a tube 3 fitted in the socket the tube being locked in position by an interiorly threaded frusto - oonica sleeve 5 the threads o: which are adapted to cut into the exposed portion of the wall of the tube and form threads thereon when the sleeve 5 is screwed to the 'branch 2, thereby ensuring good electrical contact between the tube and the box 1. The outside of the branch 2 may be screw-threaded or may be provided with longitudinal ribs 4 in which threads are cut by the threads of the sleeve 5 when the latter is screwed in position.
