Class 64(3) A heat exchanger comprises at least two tubes a, b for independently conveying two fluids between which heat is to be exchanged and metallic parts, e.g. plates c, forming heat flow paths between the tubes a, b, the said parts having formed bosses d which surround the tube or tubes a carrying the higher temperature fluid (e.g. sodium or sodium potassium alloy) and which completely enclose the said tube or tubes a. The bosses may be formed on one side only of the plates c instead of on both sides as shown.
