[Also in Group XII] In a rocket motor the exterior of the device is enclosed by a fluid-tight jacket to which is fed a fluid under pressure, e.g. nitrogen, so that if the inner walls are burned through, the fluid will be injected into the combustion chamber and the consequent drop in fluid pressure operates an electric relay system thereby cutting off the supply of fuel and oxidizer. Specification 763,962 is referred to.
