Abstract

762,913. Electromagnetic interrupters. C.A.V., Ltd. Aug. 30, 1955 [Sept. 1, 1954],. No. 25374/54. Class 38(5) An interrupter for flashing vehicle direction indicator lights a and b upon manual closure of selector switch c, comprises a magnet d controlling a spring- biased armature m carrying a pair of contacts e, g co-operating, respectively, with contacts f, h. The contact f is carried by a flywheel j biased by a spring k normally to hold contacts e, f closed. Operation of the switch c energizes the magnet. d whereby the flywheel is rotated clockwise against its bias and contacts g, h are closed. Continued rotation of the flywheel opens contacts e, f and eventually an arm. g on the flywheel deflects the contactcarrying spring arm p and opens contacts g, h. Thus the springs k, n restore the parts to their positions and the cycle is. repeated.
