Abstract
756,852. Closets. CARTER, W. A. C. July 6, 1954 [April 9, 1953], No. 9694/53. Class 26. A lavatory seat attachment for children comprises a footrest 10 with a footsupporting surface having a rubber covering 11 above the floor and a seat 15 connected to the footrest by a pillar 13 and adapted to horizontally overlie a standard pedestal and be readily removable therefrom. Rubber saddles 16 retain the seat 15 in position ; in an alternative form the saddles are replaced by clips and the footrest 10 and pillar 13 by a ladder, the inclination of which can be varied for use with pedestals of different heights. In a third form the seat is supported by a light tubular trolley with telescopic legs and a number of folding footrests. The footrest 10 may be large enough to accommodate the seat 15 and pillar 13 when not in use; according to the Provisional Specification it may be stepped to provide more than one foot-supporting surface or be adjustable.
