Abstract
755,304. Press-stud fasteners. GUSUMS BRUKS AKTIEBOLAG. Sept. 17, 1954 [Feb. 4, 1954], No. 27060/54. Class 44. A press-stud fastener of moulded natural or synthetic polymer or resin comprises a stud part 1 incorporating an outwardly directed stud 2, and a socket part 3 having a central hole 4 adapted to receive the stud so as to lock the parts to one another, the stud part being formed as a solid piece and having a plurality of slots 7 in its base which provide means whereby the stud part may be secured in position as by sewing or other means to a garment or other article having two parts to be joined in overlapping relationship, the socket also being formed with a plurality of slots 8 which besides serving as means whereby the socket may be secured in position, also impart a degree of resiliency to allow the pressing of the stud on the stud part through the central hole in the socket. The stud 2 may be of annular or polygonal shape and the hole 4 is of corresponding shape. The opposed surface of the two parts are of convex shape to allow room for the threads or other attaching means.
