A compressor comprising opposed cylinders formed in a body 1 has rigidly connected pistons 4 reciprocated by a rocking lever 23 pivoted at 17 and driven from a flywheel 19 by a pin- and-slot mechanism 10, 11, and a diaphragm 7 clamped to the cylinder block and the lever 23 by enlarged portions 25, 26, whereby the cylinder space is sealed from the crank case.
