Abstract
752,161. Disc harrows. INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER CO. July 5, 1954, No. 19616/54. Class 6 (1). An implement of the kind which requires support, during transport, upon carrier wheels is provided with two legs 4 each having at one end a stub-shaft extending transversely to its length to support a carrier-wheel 5 and having at the other end a pivot-pin portion inclined to the main part of the leg, this pivot-pin being received within a forwardly and downwardly extending socket 6 on the machine frame so that the pivot-pins can be engaged in the sockets and the machine drawn forwardly whereby the legs swing around the pins and raise the implement frame. The device is applied to a disc harrow having forward and rear units 1, 2, the harrow being towed by a drawbar 3 which can be adjusted angularly about a vertical axis and secured in an adjusted position by a strut 11 engaging in spaced holes in a bracket 13. The implement is backed to lower it, when the legs may be unplugged and inserted in the sockets 6 in an inverted position.
