Abstract
751,533. Electric amplifiers. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. April 23, 1954 [April 28, 1953], No. 11835/54. Class 40 (4). [Also in Groups XL (b) and XL (c)] In an amplifier for direct current or low frequency alternating current, resistors 7, 8 having a high positive or negative temperature coefficient and included in a bridge circuit supplied with an auxiliary alternating current at terminals 2, are heated by resistors 5, 6, the former of which generates heat in accordance with the direct voltage to be amplified applied at terminals 1. The amplified output is obtained by demodulating the output from the bridge circuit, which output may be amplified in a valve 12 if desired. Valve 3 pre-amplifies the applied signals and the resistors 6, 8 compensate for changes in anode supply and ambient temperature.
