750,717. Lighting arrangements for cycles. ZIMMERMANN, O. March 3, 1954, No. 6261/54. Class 136 (1). In a cable mounting arrangement for a cycle rear lamp a cable 21 connected to a lamp or current source is connected to an insulated terminal inserted in an inclined bottom tube 1 on a socket containing the tube, to which terminal a connecting cable 27 disposed in the tube is connected by means of a connector 25, the cable 27 being also connected by means of a second connector 26 to an insulated terminal inserted in the rear fork 4 to which terminal a cable 22 leading to the rear lamp 40 is connected. The insulated terminals consist of bushings 7, 8 of insulating material and bushings 9, 10 of conductive metal. Connectors 25, 26 have bushings 25a, 26a soldered on the ends of the cable 27 and parts bent at right angles to the bushings are secured to the bushings 9, 10 by screws 18, 20. Screws 17, 19 secure the bushings 7, 8 to the connectors 23, 24. To prevent the cable 27 from coming into contact with the bottom bracket spindle the cable is passed into the saddle pillar 28 where it is secured by a plug 29. The cable 22 is secured inside the mudguard 32 by flexible holders 33.
