749,373. Switch cases. CALOR-EMAG ELEKTRIZITATS-AKT.-GES. March 5, 1953 [April 1, 1952; April 12, 1952], No. 6164/53. Class 38(5) A switch gear housing for use in explosive atmospheres comprises a lower part 1 and a cover part 2 having internal flanges 7, 6, thus an explosive pressure generated within the housing causes the flanges 6, 7 to press against each other arid make a leaky seal. In a modification (Fig. 2, not shown) the flanges comprise separate members fixed to the housing parts.
