Abstract

747,778. Work holders. SPEED TOOLS, Ltd. Sept. 29, 1954 [Sept. 29, 1953], No. 26749/53. Class 83 (3). A work-clamp or dog comprises a forged or cast metal body 11 resting with its end 13 on a workpiece &c. 17, Fig. 3, and with its other end 14 on a work-table &c. 23, a cylindrical member 21 mounted in a transverse bore 20 in the body to be capable of rocking about its axis, and a bolt 19 or stud passing through the member to receive a nut 25 for clamping the body and work to the table. The body has a slot 18 through which the bolt passes, widened at the top to receive the nut. Member 21 has a bore 22 for the bolt and at one end of the bore, a flat annular surface 26 against which the nut bears.
