Abstract
746,957. Self-feeding brushes. LISTER EQUIPMENT, Ltd. July 5, 1954 [July 4, 1953], No. 18611/53. Class 19 In a self feeding brush in which liquid mixed with detergent is supplied through a cavity b in the brush or sponge back to apertures b<SP>2</SP> leading to the bristles or sponge, the liquid is fed to the cavity in the form of a jet arranged such that air is sucked through some of the apertures to generate foam. The detergent may be mixed with the liquid in a device (Fig. 3, not shown) of the type described in Specification 698,732 or the detergent may be in tablet or paste form in a cylinder A (Fig. 1) the liquid being supplied through a duct a' and delivered through an outlet filter b<SP>3</SP> held by a rubber bush b <SP>7</SP>.
