Abstract

743,374. Sweeping-machines. YOUNG (MOTORS), Ltd., H. Sept. 9, 1954 [5ept. 9, 1953], No. 24971/53. Class 107. A brush attachment to be used with the normal 3 point linkage (m, p) and power take-off provided on a tractor or like vehicle, comprises a brush b rotatably mounted in a frame a. The frame may be inserted in the fitting e to reverse the direction of rotation of the brush, the brush being driven through a chain c1 and a take-off shaft d. The fitting e is carried on a pivoted quadrant g<SP>2</SP> for transverse angular adjustment and this in its turn is carried at o for further adjustment. The frame j<SP>1</SP> engages the tractor linkage by means of link pins. A scoop may be fitted if desired, and a water spray fed from the propelling vehicle may be arranged on the device.
