Abstract

741.839. Reservoir pens. FERBER CORPORATION. March 31, 1953, No. 8938/53. Class 146(3) A ball-point pen has a barrel 14a of transparent or translucent material, a tapered portion at each end of the barrel, a writing tip 12 at one end. a closure member 16a at the other end, both tip and closure member being tapered to suit the barrel, and a roughened surface 11 resembling screw-threads formed around the barrel near the end containing the tip 12. As shown, the ink 14b is contained in the bore of the barrel, but it may be contained in a removable metal &c. reservoir contrasting in colour with that of the barrel. The tip 12 and member 16a may be of metal, and coloured. A coloured metal cap with attached clip is provided. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 573,747.
