Abstract
741,514. Spectacle frames. BRITISH AMERICAN OPTICAL CO., Ltd. July 8, 1954 [Aug. 14, 1953], No. 22518/53. Class 97 (1). The hinge 15 of a side piece 12 is secured to a joint piece 14 having a base-plate 16 secured to the front face of a lens rim 10 by a staple 17, on the plate 16 which reaches through the rim 10 to securing means 18 on the back face of the rim, i.e. that adjacent the wearer. The rims may extend over only the upper part of the lenses and the frame may consist of plastic rims and a metal bridge.
