741,299. Tow hooks. FERGUSON BROS. (PORT-GLASGOW), Ltd. Oct. 5, 1953 [Oct. 4, 1952], No. 24930/52. Addition to 715,270. Class 78 (2). A modification of the tow hook claimed in the parent Specification, comprises a first member 1, a second member 2, a third member 3 and a fourth member 4, there being a spring 6 lying between members 2 and 3, and the third member constituting a piston 3 connected to a fluid reservoir 7 by ports 8, 9. As shown, the ports differ in area and also may be varied in area by a needle valve.
