737,333. Valves. WALKER CROSWELLER & CO., Ltd. May 12, 1954 [May 20, 1953], No. 14120/53. Class 135. In a fluid mixing valve in which a valve is adjusted by a knob 5 mounted on a spindle 6, a reduction gear within the knob is interposed between the knob and spindle. The knob is splined to an internally coned cap 11 movable axially and rotatably on the spindle and pressed by spring 14 on to balls 18 freely carried by a cage 17 secured to the spindle, the balls also frictionally engaging a casing boss 16. A bimetal 4 is interposed between the spindle and the valve.
