Abstract
736,323. Rotary brushes. VACTRIC, Ltd. Dec. 21, 1953 [Oct. 29, 1952], No. 27188/52. Class 19. A rotary brush, more particularly for a suction cleaner, comprises a hollow cylindrical stock having slots therein for the reception of resilient brush strips, the opposed edges of the slots engaging grooves in the sides of the strip. The edges of the slots may be bent inwardly so that the strip may readily be pushed into the slot or the strip may be slid endwise into the slot from an open end or from an end part of the slot which has been widened to receive the full width of the strip (Fig. 4, not shown). The ends of the strip may be shaped to hold them more securely. According to the Provisional Specification the strips may be made of rubber.
