Abstract

730,080. Coaxial resonators. STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES, Ltd. May 8, 1953 [Aug. 9, 1962], No. 12912/63. Class 40 (8). The inductance of a tunable coaxial resonator 1 is varied by moving a sleeve 9 over inductive grooves 8 in the inner conductor 2, thereby shorting a certain number of the grooves. The capacitance of the resonator may also be varied by axial movement of a conductive cap 4 which makes contact with the outer conductor by means of wiper strips 5.
