Abstract
1338742 Coupled coaxial resonators R HIRSCHMANN 3 July 1972 [5 July 1971 (2)] 30966/72 Heading H1W Two coaxial line resonators are coupled by adjusting the capacitance between a conductive member extending into both resonators and the inner conductor of one of them, or a metal electrode connected to same. Thus, as shown in Fig. 1, the resonators are coupled by conductive member 4, 5, 6 and the capacitance between this member and an electrode 10 on the inner conductor 2 is adjusted by rotating the inner conductor about its axis. The electrode 10 may be replaced by a resilient conductive electrode adjustable towards and away from the member 5 by an elongated dielectric screw extending transversely through the inner conductor 2 and adjustable from outside the resonator (Fig. 2, not shown). In the modification of Fig. 3, the capacitance between inner conductor 19 and coupling member 16 is adjusted by axial movement of the inner conductor. The member 16 forms a transmission line with the outer conductors of the resonators and is provided with an electrode 16a forming a capacitance with the inner conductor 11. Input capacitance existing between members 20 and 21 may be adjusted by rotating the inner conductor 19.
