Abstract
727,049. Reservoir pens. WHYTE, G. T., [formerly WEISZ, G. T.], and GASC, P. H. May 29, 1953 [May 29, 1952], No. 13668/52. Class 146(3). In a holder 2 for a ball-point pen or other writing unit 1, the writing end of the unit 1 is projected from the holder, against the action of a spring 3, and locked in this position by depressing a plunger 9 and, by a lateral movement, engaging a shoulder 12 on the plunger beneath a shoulder 8 in the end of the holder. The plunger 9 has an enlargement 10 which bears on the upper end of the unit 1, and is grooved at 11 to provide the shoulder 12. The shoulder 8 is formed at the end of a plug 7 which has a main bore of smaller diameter than the enlargement 10.
