Abstract
726,317. Wire couplings. MORSCHEL, F. Dec. 16, 1953, No. 35087/53. Class 38 (1). A wire connector comprises an insulating casing 1 open at one side, a contact bar 11 (Fig. 3), and springs 12 separated and insulated from each other by a stud 13 integral with the casing. The wires to be connected are inserted through apertures 6, 7 in the casing and are pressed on to the contact bar 11 by the springs. Members 15 passing through slots 16 in the casing have forked ends 17 which straddle the contact bar and which engage the springs 12 so that the latter can be pushed up when the wires are withdrawn. A closure member is provided for the casing and both the casing and this member may be of resilient material.
