Abstract
725,122. Clothes drying apparatus. LOVELL MANUFACTURING CO. Nov. 3, 1953 [Nov. 10, 1952], No. 30322/53. Class 34 (2). In a tumbler clothes drier having a perforate drum 2 enclosed by a cylindrical casing 5 in a cabinet 1 and a suction fan inlet 11a connected to a duct 10 communicating with casing 5 via openings 9 the casing 5 has louvres 19 directing a small flow of air from outside the casing along the interior thereof towards the fan to remove lint collecting in the lower part of the casing and the inlet duct 10 has a small opening 16 admitting air to sweep lint particles 17 along the duct to the fan. The lint-containing air is discharged by the fan through a lint trap 14 having a discharge 15 at the front of the apparatus.
