Abstract

724,552. Suction cleaners. GENERAL ELECTRIC CO. Feb. 11, 1953 [Feb. 13, 1952], No. 3846/53. Classes 8 (1) and 8 (2). Vaporizable solid insecticide is contained by a flexible porous diaphragm 23 extending horizontally across a vertical air passage 4 of a suction cleaner body 1 and is supported entirely and only at its edge so as to allow sagging at the centre, e.g. by an elastic band 24 engaging an imperforate dome 20 located between gaskets 18, 21. The suction cleaner filter bag 16 is supported by a metal .17 ring secured to the gasket 18 and rests on a perforated motor guard 12. Specification 670,219 is referred to.
