Abstract
720,117. Fertilizer distributers. TAYLOR, J. H. March 30, 1953. [April 2, 1952] No. 8365/52. Class 6 (1). A fertilizer distributer for attachment to a tractor comprises a casing 3 in which is rotatably mounted a driving shaft 5 on which is mounted a gear wheel for engagement with a gear wheel on the power take-off shaft 4 and a flange 8 to which is rigidly secured a vaned distributer disc 7 which is fed from a hopper 11 having a removable portion 14, the hopper being fixed to the tractor. The hopper feeds into a shoot 12 provided with an opening 12a which projects into a casing 13 which the disc rotates. A tangential tongue projecting from the side of the casing imparts direction to the fertilizer. In a modification the fertilizer is discharged through a short tangential nozzle formed in the casing 13 and the nozzle may be' provided with a further nozzle pivotally mounted and held in position by a removable pin.
