Abstract

719,129. Seats. BERRY, D. June 24, 1953 [March 9, 1953], No. 6432/53. Class 52(2) A seat may be adjusted to serve as either :a low or a high stool or as a back rest. As shown a base 13 is provided with a frame 11 hinged at 16, the other end of the frame 11 being hinged to an upholstered seat 12. Pivoted struts 18 on the frame 11 selectively engage racks 15 on the base 13 and pivoted struts 21 on the seat 12 selectively engage racks 17 on the frame 11. For use as a back rest the seat is collapsed on to the inclined frame 11.
