718,790. Pulleys. COSMOS, W. J. Jan 5, 1953. No. 299/53. Class 80 (1) [Also in Group XXIII] A pulley for high speed flat belt drives and particularly for use with abrasive belts for polishing &c. comprises a wide perforated metal rim 21B with an inwardly extending web portion 21A, the rim and outer part of the web being covered by an elastic moulded material 20 such as vulcanized rubber. The inner part of the web is secured to a flange 25 of a hub 22 and the outer periphery of the pulley surface is preferably formed with inclined grooves and ridges 35.
